54 years ago, May 15 1967, the Black Panther Party for Self-Defense first publicized their Ten-Point Program in the second issue of The Black Panther under the heading “What We Want Now! What We Believe.” The program was published in every consecutive issue of the paper

The Ten-Point Program was written on October 16, 1966 by Bobby Seale and Huey Newton, the founders of the party, who were also neighbors and students at Merritt College. They wrote it together at the Office of Economic Development Corp. on Market St., where they both worked

You can find many versions of the plan or program published in other copies of The Black Panther, in various books, and on hundreds of webpages (including this one): https://t.co/aq3UZ85m09
