34 years ago, April 24 1990, 13 members of Earth First! were arrested while attempting to unfurl a banner during rush hour traffic on the Golden Gate Bridge. The 130-foot banner read: “Save This Planet. Defend Ancient Forests. Fossil Fuel Prohibited. Earth First!”
